Kids’ Track Sunday, February 16, at the DoubleTree Hotel in San Pedro

Kids’ Track is $35 per child. Kids 17 and under who are registered either for the full-event or a two-day (Sun/Mon) registration do not need to pay extra for Kids’ Track. One or two parents are admitted with their child for the Sunday Kids’ Track. Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult; youth 13-17 must have an adult on premises with a cell phone listed at the Registration Table. The schedule might change. Please send an email to Madeline Walker at madeline@spidellspecialties.com if you think your child (with his or her name and age) will be attending so we can continue planning.

Kids’ Track Schedule

9:30-10:30am – Check in at Registration in Madeo Hospitality Room. Join in on Minute Mysteries with Madeline Walker and Wendy Rosenbaum. A mystery is stated in a few words. Participants can ask questions, but the host will answer only yes or no. When one mystery is solved, let’s try another one!

10:30am-noon – Carpool to the Marine Mammal Care Center at 3601 South Gaffey Street in San Pedro. This is a “hospital” for sick and injured seals and sea lions. On Sunday they celebrate their 10,000th day with Tours, Demos, Kids Crafts, Vendors and Feedings! Entry is free, but a donation or gift is appreciated. Go to https://marinemammalcarecenterlosangeles.com/2020-open-house-donation-drive/ to see the Wish List of items which this hospital can use.

12:00 noon Refreshments in Hospitality.

12:15 Werewolves with Ed You. Each player picks a card to find out their character. Everyone tries to find out who is the werewolf, but sometimes a villager gets kicked out instead. Watch out for a werewolf pretending to be a villager. The group can usually play 3 rounds in an hour.

2:15   Create your own Magic Wand. Doug has made plain wands from wood dowels. Here is your chance to decorate your own Wand. Colors? Feathers? Glitter-glue? Streamers?

3:00   Sudoku is a logic game. After a lesson, get into teams to see if you can put your learning to the task of solving a puzzle or two.

4:00   Improv with Karyss Gonzalez. Karyss got the kids on their feet last year, and is returning for more!  Improv is a form of theater in which all action is unplanned. Be creative, be inventive, and have fun.

5:00   Family Feud with Ed You. Jana collected answers to questions and put them in a Family Feud pattern.

6:00   End of Kids’ Track RG 2020.
