South Bay Sunday Salon travels to Oaxaca, courtesy of Madre in Torrance (1261 Cabrillo). Madre puts some innovative twists on Mexican food. Your host thinks they have the best guacamole in the South Bay, and guac is an appetizer, which means that GLAAM will treat us to guac & chips … as well as taquitos, quesadillas, and nopalitos. Go to http://www.madrerestaurants.com/ and click on Menu to see some of their offerings. Please let us know you're coming so we reserve a large enough table. Call or text Vickey at (310) 897-2130, or email her at VKALAMBAKAL@yahoo.com. Laser Tag: Come out and put on glowing vests and shoot infrared beams at other people and inanimate objects. Come out to the Ultrazone in Sherman Oaks (https://www.zonehead.com/) and get in a game or two. Games $12, with lower group rates if we have enough people show up. Contact: Doug Ecks, (714) 290-1103. |
