GLAAM Picnic Set-Up! GLAAM goes back to Griffith Park for another picnic. Early arrivals are always welcome to help us with set-up and saving the location. They also get first crack at the tasty snacks! :D GLAAM Picnic in the Park! A wonderful day to enjoy a picnic with your fellow Mensans, enjoy some lawn games, stimulating conversations, and lots of lovely eats! We'll provide main dishes, soda and water. Guests are encouraged to bring chairs and/or blankets to sit on as well as desserts, sides, and salads to complement the offerings! First of the Mensth (1*M) celebrates Thai New Year (which isn't until the 13th, but hey!) at Bangkok House ($$ - great lunch buffet), 303 W Inyokern Rd (beside Shop Avenue), Ridgecrest. If the advertised restaurant has the ill grace to be closed, 1*M moves to Denny's (America's Diner), 104 N China Lake Blvd (NE corner of Ridgecrest Blvd). Disneyland Mensa SIG: What can be more fun than visiting Disneyland together with your Mensa friends? Mensa members throughout Southern California visit Disneyland at least one Sunday each month. Our meeting place is in front of the Fire Station on Main Street in Disneyland at 10:00am. We normally have a lunch or early dinner, and multiple rides. The itinerary is loosely planned and our Facebook page offers the opportunity to assist in planning each month's excursion.
