Zoom Book Discussion. For our first meeting this month, pick a book you've read and tell us about it. To be put on the email list for future notifications and zoom links, please send your email to janabickel@earthlink.net or call her at (818) 506-4032. Please feel free to join us even if you did not read a new book. The Mensa Writers Group is now offering two ways to participate during the COVID-19 shutdown. The default meeting dates will remain the second and fourth Tuesday of the month. If you wish to present and/or critique, you may join in a Zoom meeting that starts at 7:00 PM. Inland Empire Mensa Zoom. We are spread far and wide throughout Riverside and San Bernardino counties, scattered in different Mensa chapters, and now, separated even more by COVID. In this month's chat we are sandwiched between major annual celebrations that we can't celebrate the way we used to. Come and join your fellow Inland Empire Mensans for a convivial palaver and a virtual commemoration of how we could gather in the good old, pre-COVID days. The Folksong SIG will be meeting via Zoom during the COVID-19 shutdown. The default meeting dates will be the second and fourth Sundays of the month from 1:00-3:00 PM. It's very informal and includes guests. It's run as a Zoomenanny, a hootenanny on Zoom. We go around a virtual circle, taking turns. During your turn, you can sing, recite, play, request a song, or just listen. If you choose to sing, I'm willing to accompany your song on keyboard or guitar. Mensa Testing. In person testing in Los Angeles and surrounding areas is currently on hold due to the pandemic limitations on gatherings and the specific facility limitations that we cannot control. Interested parties are invited to email our Testing Coordinator to see if there have been any changes to this since calendar publication.
