Inland Empire Mensans who live in Riverside and San Bernardino counties now or in the past are scattered in different Mensa chapters. Come join us to meet virtually and join your fellow Inland Empire Mensans for Mensa style ZOOM discussions. We continue experiment with presenting a topic for this month. By no means is everyone totally restricted to the topic of the month, but it offers us something to think about and bring to the chat. Topic for May is: social media-the good, the bad and the ugly, what platforms are you on and how much of yourself do you put out there? We meet virtually every second Saturday of the month from 12 noon to about […] |

International Diners' Club. This month in our Olympic chronology we are on Beijing 2008. Chinese food is not too exciting for International Diners' Club, so let's do a specific cuisine of the Chinese empire, specifically Uyghur. There is a sizable Uyghur population in Southern California that is free from genocide, and they have quite a vibrant cuisine that is heavy on noodles, meats, and dumplings. This dinner is somewhat of a return to our roots. We are meeting in the San Gabriel Valley, where so many early dinners of our group met when they had a rivalry with Michael Wong's Asian […] |

The plan for our monthly dinner is to have it at the Marie Calendar in Lancaster which is just one block west of the 14 Fwy on Avenue K on the right side of the street from the Fwy. We will meet at 6pm provided someone tells me that they want to come. In the three decades that I have been a member of Mensa, the total amount of knowledge has increased tenfold. So much good stuff to discuss. I hunger for that more than the meal. Please let me know if you will attend. Please phone, text or email. (661) 265-0969 Weekdays […] |

Aren’t you just itching to get out and move around? Maybe whack some baseballs or softballs with a bat? I sure am! This is my second post-covid event for GLAAM. I’m just trying a variety of things that I think sound fun and I’ll see what kind of response I get! Come on down! I called and they said they have some cages for baseball, some for softball, and some that do both. They supply the bat and the helmet. We would individually be responsible for our own fees. $10 for 50 pitches. $25 for 15 minutes and up from there. […] |
