Join us Wednesday, June 1st, at Scum and Villainy Cantina, your friendly neighborhood Geek Bar located at 6377 Hollywood Blvd, Los Angeles, CA https://scumandvillainycantina.com/ Who shot first? Who is the best Star Trek Captain? Who would win a fight between Malcom Reynolds, Starbuck, and Han Solo? Sometimes called a Star Wars theme bar, this place started as a popup but has become a regular thing now. But looking at their website, this is pan sci-fi. Trekkies, be welcome. Battlestar Galactica? Welcome. Firefly? Yep, you folks, too. Somehow, I have never been here before. Have you? They don’t take reservations, so we are […] |

Dinner starts at 5:30 and the discussion at 7:00 PM at the Horseless Carriage, located at 15505 Roscoe Blvd in Van Nuys, just east of the 405. We meet in the back room where there is room for 12-14 people. Park in the restaurant’s parking lot or across the street at Galpin Ford. This month's topic is memory. Please contact Jana Bickel at janabickel@earthlink.net to reserve a seat at the table. The inaugural ELAC Awareness Dinner will take place in the lovely Southeast Los Angeles County (SELA) – the “fly-over country” of L. A. County. Join us at Pina Pizza (PinaPizzaHouse.com), a family-owned Italian restaurant in business since 1959. Pina Pizza is catty-corner from the historic Rives Mansion with its coffee shop under construction out front. (Monstrosity or necessary economic monstrosity?). In Downey, we’d better not bad-mouth The Carpenters! (They’re from here.) All are welcome! Se habla español. Pina Pizza House. 11102 Paramount Bl., Downey (1 block north of Firestone Bl.)
